I think they use this color choice to give off a warm and friendly vibe. It portrays that they are open and friendly to their clients, while still being professional. The kind of color harmony they use in this logo is analogous, with the pink and the orange being spaced out about the same on the color wheel.
They use these color choices to try and 'dress up' the image of clam meat. I think the only meaning it has is that it i more vibrant and appealing to the eye than grey. It may elude to royalty and that the clam meat is high class. This logo utilizes monochromatic colors for it's color harmony, as to keep a clean and non cluttered image.
